  • Altitude: 6,542m
  • Duration: 20 Days

Three weeks incorporating a trek through the Andes, two 6,000m+ summits and a mountain biking adventure down the “Road of Death”. This is a mind blowing adventure, not for the light-hearted, which will take you through your paces - do you dare!!!

DAY TWO

Departure for Copacabana, on the shores of Lake Titicaca, sleep in Copacabana.

Our last day of trekking takes us to the base camp of Huayna Potosi.

DAY EIGHT

A day to practise various different techniques on the glacier.

DAY NINE

An early start to attack the summit in time for sunrise. We will then return to base camp where our vehicle will be waiting for us to return to La Paz.

DAY ELEVEN

Rest day in La Paz.

DAY TWELVE

Mountain biking down the road of death! Whereas until recently, the mountain road to the Yungas was used by hundreds of trucks, lorries and cars on a daily basis, the construction of a new, wider, safer road for the traffic has left the “Road of Death” purely a bikers route. The downhill madness begins at 4,650m at the La Cumbre pass and ends 3,500m lower down, in the village of Yolosa. A vehicle will then take us to the hillside retreat of Coroico - beautiful!

DAY THIRTEEN

Rest day in Coroico. Those still with itchy feet can try horse riding or a 4x4 trek through the nearby coca plantations.

DAY FOURTEEN

Return to La Paz

DAY FIFTEEN

DAY EIGHTEEN

Trek from base camp to Wincurata where we will have the chance to enjoy the gorgeous thermal baths, before returning to La Paz.

DAY NINETEEN
